On Wednesday I headed with the whole family to the famous Designer Outlet in Salzburg/Austria and it was worth the 2 hours drive! They offer international brands like Valentino, Jil Sander and Hugo Boss or brands which are only very popular in Europe. The outlet prices are about 30 % - 50 % lower compared to retail. PLUS it's winter sale! What does it mean? The prices are about 80 % lower!

... and Ebay is - most of the time - the best place to go for. Ebay is known for its deals when it comes to designer pieces but also a liked website for scammers. You should be awared of members who are selling designer pieces in general. It's often stated in the description that the item you are biding on is authentic. Stated as authentic doesn't mean it's authentic.
Imagine yourself selling an item on Ebay. What would you do to get as much money as possible? Here's a short checklist to make it more difficult for scammers to scam you (!) :
1. Check the seller's feedback (also the comments of previous buyers or sellers who the seller did business with)
2. Check the items the seller sold or IS selling and also its price. If the price is to good to be true... stay away.
3. Check if you get quality for the money you are about to spend.
4. Ask for more pictures. If the seller doesn't send you more pictues, the selling item is more than questionable. What should be the seller awared of by sending more pics?
5. Pay attention to the time the seller needs for an response.
6. In case of payment: only use PayPal -> www.paypal.com
 
Even if you are following these tips doesn't mean you can't get scammed but it's more difficult for the seller then. I hope this is helpful.
